Set in a lush, pristine rainforest with its own idyllic private beach, this is a globally recognised resort. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsible for the global marketing communications across PR, continued brand positioning, and social and digital marketing channels this is a pivotal ExecCom level role.  As such pre-requisite experience and skills include:

Minimum of 2 years experience at Marketing & Communications Director level. 

At least 5 years of luxury resort hotel experience, preferably including in Asia/SEA, although this is not essential. 

Has had experience working with smaller, boutique luxury hotels – not just larger hotel groups.

  • Global  media connections which will include reputable influencers
  • Proven experience in leading digital marketing strategies including website CMS, PPC campaigns, app management, CRM management and direct email marketing.  Additionally, knowledge of the Adobe Master suite is required to successfully lead the team and manage external agencies. 
  • Confident and competent in setting and managing budgets, communicating with and presenting to senior stakeholders, and attending key meetings when on-site.
  • Passionate about the hotel, “buys in” to its ethos with a 360 perspective to define the MarComms strategy appealing to the diverse target audiences booking the hotel.
  • Has a global awareness of the industry’s market trends: knows how to optimise opportunities through innovative storytelling and creative ROI opportunities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and delivery of projects on time.
  • Good team engagement – works closely with key internal stakeholders: ExCom, HOD and line staff.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, patient can work with changing circumstances and knows how to overcome challenges effectively.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Based in a key Asian capital the Marketing Communications Director will be working off property and, as such, it is vital that they are able to build and maintain an effective and dynamic working relationship with the operational team at the hotel. 
  • Due to the nature of the role and location, this would suit a single person. The company is offering a competitive salary and ex-pat package.
