This is a really exciting opportunity for a target driven hunter with great team leadership experience to take on this role.  Based in North Africa, they will be responsible for a large hotel, with a number of F&B outlets and big meeting space. The MICE segment is the key business for the property and it is essential that the successful person has demonstrable contacts and knowledge of the UK, French, Spanish and German MICE agents and corporate companies.

This is a really exciting opportunity for a target driven hunter with great team leadership experience to take on this role.  Based in North Africa, they will be responsible for a large hotel, with a number of F&B outlets and big meeting space. The MICE segment is the key business for the property and it is essential that the successful person has demonstrable contacts and knowledge of the UK, French, Spanish and German MICE agents and corporate companies.

 The DBD will be responsible for the sales and catering sales teams, working alongside other ExCom colleagues, including the Director of Revenue and Director of Marketing – all of whom report in to the GM.

Key experience and skills will include:

  • Demonstrable understandingof the MICE market out of Europe
  • Understands leisure and ideally has worked in a resort environment at some stage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.  Additionally, French would be highly desirable along with any other European language
  • Ideally has worked in a environment going through a re-positioning, re-branding and enjoys working thorugh change management
  • Has led large teams: minimum of 10-12 people.  They will be responsible for 14-18 people, three of whom will be at Director level responsible for specific key feeder markets
  • Target driven, analytical and strategic
  • Competent and comfortable in presenting to senior stakeholders and gaining trust with both internal and external colleague and clients

 

The client is offering an ex-pat package with family status, but unfortunately no schooling.  As such, this would suit someone single, willing to travel single status or married with no or pre-school children.
