One of the first 5 star international hotels in Jordan  this deluxe operation enjoys a prime location at the heart of the diplomatic area of Amman, on the summit of one of the seven hills. Located within walking distance of the old city centre, InterContinental Jordan is only a 30-minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport.

The newly renovated rooms and suites are equipped with an array of modern amenities and latest technology. The Hotel has a very large F&B operation with a 45% contribution to the total Hotel revenue. For meetings and conferences, the hotel is well equipped for hosting business and social gatherings of every description, with nine flexible and renovated function rooms that can accommodate from 10 to 1500 guests. Over 450 colleagues are committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury, quality and service which define the company.

EAM i/c of F&B OR Director of F&B

The role reports directly to the General Manager and as the EAM i/c of F&B or Director Food & Beverage you will be responsible for managing an outstanding selection of Food and Beverage outlets. The ideal candidate will be responsible to direct all aspects of the Food & Beverage function including managing the day to day operation in line with company policy and brand standards.

The key responsibilities are:

 Delivering outstanding service levels to all guests through leading a dynamic team

 Active role and participation in Executive Committee, shaping strategies for success

 Development and implementation of strategic plan, marketing plan, budget and goals

 Maximize all areas of profitability, through revenue generation and productivity

 Leading and developing and outstanding team of future F&B leaders

 Ensures implementation of all Health and Safety requirements

 Monitors applicable laws and regulations and ensures compliance

 Establishes and maintains effective internal communication and meeting structures

Job Requirements:

First and foremost we are looking for an F&B expert with passion and energy that can lead and develop a great team, outlets and service. Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently will be key to developing the InterContinental Food and Beverage Experience. An outgoing personality is also very important.

Ideally you'll have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management (or equivalent), with at least two (2) years demonstrable experience as a department head or Executive Committee member in a hotel team. Ultimately, you have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, proficient skills for written and oral communication in English and a desire and the ability to travel and work in different countries.

EU passport holders only, single or married status but preferrably without school age children.
