Marketing & Communications Manager


We are working on a super assignment for a recently opened luxury resort hotel in a nature lover’s setting.   The focus is on guests’ well-being by offering yoga, meditation, spa therapies in serenity and exclusivity.  The Marketing & Communications Manager will find plenty of subjects for story-telling and have the autonomy to further develop their skills, taking on more responsibility as they settle into the job.

Due to its location, this would appeal to someone who has resort experience, preferably in a more “remote” location e.g. an island or “tucked-away” place.  And, it would be perfect for someone who enjoys the outdoor life, maybe even enjoys photography or painting/drawing as there are nature trails into the mountains close by, relaxing on the untouched beach or scuba diving with the chance to whale watch. 

Reporting to the Cluster DOSM, who is not based on property and working closely with the General Manager, the MarComms Manager will work within company brand guidelines in optimising on all marketing channels.  At the moment there is an agency for social media, graphics and PR.  However, the plan is for the MarComms Manager to take on more direct control of these elements and build a team. 

Therefore, skills and experience will include:

  • Excellent social media competency
  • Ideally, graphic design knowledge would be useful
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is essential
  • Additional languages useful e.g. Arabic, German, French
  • Self-motivated organised and structured – be able to work on their own initiative and content in living in a more remote location
  • Innovative and creative in setting strategies and creating stories that will increase awareness suitable to and optimising the different media platforms 
  • Able to build relationships with hotel colleagues and those in the Cluster, Regional and Head Offices

This is offered on a single status ex-pat package; accommodation is provided and it is a 5 day week.
